British Columbia is a province on the west coast of Canada. It sits next to the Pacific Ocean. The province has tall mountains, thick forests, and rocky beaches. Many people call it BC for short. It is famous for its beautiful nature and wild animals.

British Columbia has the Rocky Mountains and the Coast Mountains. Huge trees like cedar and fir grow in the rainforests. Grizzly bears, black bears, and bald eagles live here. Whales, dolphins, and salmon swim in the ocean. Vancouver Island has its own special wildlife.
