Cameroon is a country in Central Africa. It is called Africa in Miniature because it has nearly every type of landscape found on the continent. From beaches to deserts to rainforests to mountains, Cameroon has it all.

About 28 million people live in Cameroon. The capital is Yaounde. Mount Cameroon is the highest peak in West Africa. The country has tropical forests, savannas, and a coast on the Gulf of Guinea. The north has dry grasslands near the Sahel.

Cameroon is one of the most diverse countries in Africa with over 200 languages. Soccer is the favorite sport and the Indomitable Lions national team is very strong. Ndole, a bitter leaf stew, is the national dish. Both English and French are official languages.
