Fiji

Fiji is a country of more than 300 islands in the South Pacific Ocean. Only about 100 of the islands have people living on them. Fiji has crystal-clear water, coral reefs, and palm-fringed beaches.

About 930,000 people live in Fiji. The capital is Suva. The two biggest islands are Viti Levu and Vanua Levu. Fiji has tropical forests, mountains, and some of the most beautiful beaches in the world.

Culture and Fun Facts

Fijians greet visitors with a big smile and say 'bula!' which means hello. Kava is a traditional drink made from a pepper plant root. The meke is a traditional dance with singing and clapping. Rugby is the most popular sport and Fiji has a great sevens team.
