Guyana

Guyana is a small country on the northern coast of South America. It is the only English-speaking country on the continent. Guyana is covered in thick rainforest and has one of the most powerful waterfalls in the world.

Land and People

About 800,000 people live in Guyana. The capital is Georgetown. About 80 percent of the country is covered in rainforest. Kaieteur Falls is about four times taller than Niagara Falls. Most people live along the coast.
