Hungary is a country in Central Europe. Its capital Budapest is split in two by the Danube River. Hungary is famous for its thermal baths, spicy paprika, and rich history. The Hungarian language is unlike almost any other in Europe.

About 10 million people live in Hungary. The capital is Budapest. The country is mostly flat with the Great Hungarian Plain covering much of the east. Lake Balaton is the largest lake in Central Europe and a popular vacation spot.
