Idaho is a state in the northwestern United States. It is famous for growing more potatoes than any other state. Idaho has tall mountains, deep canyons, and wild rivers. Many people visit Idaho to enjoy hiking, skiing, and fishing.

About 2 million people live in Idaho. The capital and largest city is Boise. The Rocky Mountains run through the center of the state. Hells Canyon on the Snake River is the deepest canyon in North America.
