The Isle of Man is a small island in the Irish Sea between England and Ireland. It is a self-governing British Crown dependency, meaning it makes many of its own laws. The island is most famous for the TT motorcycle race, one of the most exciting and dangerous races in the world. The Isle of Man has a long Viking heritage.

About 85,000 people live on the Isle of Man. The capital is Douglas. The island is about 33 miles long and 13 miles wide. It has green rolling hills, rocky coastline, and a central mountain called Snaefell.
