Ontario
Ontario is one of ten provinces in Canada. It is in the eastern part of the country. More people live in Ontario than in any other province. The capital of Canada, Ottawa, is in Ontario. The province has big cities, huge forests, and thousands of lakes.
Cities and Landmarks
Toronto is the biggest city in Canada and is in Ontario. The famous CN Tower stands tall in Toronto. Niagara Falls, one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the world, is on the border with the United States. Ottawa is the home of the Canadian government. Many museums and parks fill these cities.
Land and Nature
Ontario has more than 250,000 lakes. The province borders four of the Great Lakes. Forests cover much of the north with pine and maple trees. Moose, beavers, and loons live in the wild. Winters are cold with lots of snow, and summers are warm.
