Quebec is the biggest province in Canada by size. It sits in the eastern part of the country. Most people in Quebec speak French as their main language. The province has forests, rivers, and old cities. It is famous for maple syrup, cold winters, and friendly people.

Cities and Language

Montreal is the biggest city in Quebec. Quebec City is the capital and has old stone walls around it. It is the only walled city in North America north of Mexico. Street signs and schools use French. People also celebrate fun winter festivals with ice sculptures.

Nature and Food

Quebec has huge forests filled with maple trees. In spring, people tap the trees to collect sweet sap. The sap is boiled into maple syrup. Whales swim in the Saint Lawrence River. Moose, bears, and caribou live in the northern forests.
