Zambia is a country in southern Africa. It does not touch any ocean, so it is called landlocked. Zambia is known for its many rivers, forests, and wild animals. The capital city is Lusaka.
Victoria Falls
Zambia shares one of the biggest waterfalls in the world with its neighbor Zimbabwe. It is called Victoria Falls. The falls are so loud and powerful that mist rises high into the sky. Local people call the falls Mosi-oa-Tunya, which means 'the smoke that thunders.' Many tourists visit to see the falls each year.
Animals of Zambia
Zambia has lots of wild animals. Elephants, lions, zebras, and hippos live in its national parks. People go on safaris to see the animals up close. The Zambezi River is home to crocodiles and many kinds of fish. Zambia works hard to protect its wildlife.
