Cereal

Cereal is a popular breakfast food eaten all around the world. It is made from grains like wheat, corn, rice, or oats. Most people eat cereal in a bowl with cold milk. Some kinds are sweet, and others are plain. Cereal is quick and easy to make.

How Cereal Began

Cereal was first made in the 1800s in the United States. A doctor named John Kellogg and his brother wanted a healthy food. They made the first cornflakes by accident while cooking wheat. Soon, many new cereals were invented. Now, there are hundreds of kinds in stores.
