Coffee

Coffee is a dark, warm drink that many grown-ups love. It is made from the beans of the coffee plant. The beans are roasted, ground up, and mixed with hot water. Coffee has a strong, rich flavor. It helps some people wake up in the morning.

From Plant to Cup

Coffee starts as a red fruit on a coffee tree. Inside the fruit are two green seeds, called beans. The beans are dried and then roasted until they turn brown. Next, they are ground up into powder. Hot water runs through the powder to make coffee.
