Honey

Honey is a sweet and sticky food. It is golden or brown in color. Bees make honey from the nectar of flowers. People have eaten honey for thousands of years. You can spread it on bread or put it in tea.

How Bees Make Honey

Bees fly from flower to flower. They drink a sweet juice called nectar. They store the nectar in a special tummy. Back at the hive, they pass it to other bees. The bees chew it and put it into little wax rooms called cells. They flap their wings to dry it out. Then it turns into honey.
