Noodles

Noodles are thin, long pieces of food made from dough. The dough is made from flour, water, and sometimes eggs. Noodles can be short or long, thick or thin. People boil them in water to cook them. Noodles are eaten in almost every country.

Kinds of Noodles

There are so many kinds of noodles. Italy has pasta like spaghetti and macaroni. China has rice noodles and egg noodles. Japan has udon and soba. Korea has thin, chewy noodles called naengmyeon. Each kind has its own taste and shape.

How We Eat Noodles

People eat noodles in many ways. Some are in hot soups, like ramen or pho. Others are mixed with sauce, like spaghetti. Noodles can be fried or even served cold. In Asia, many people eat noodles with chopsticks. In Italy, a fork is used.
