The Serengeti

The Serengeti is a large area of grassland in Tanzania and Kenya in Africa. It is known as one of the best places in the world to see wild animals. Lions, elephants, and zebras all live here. The Serengeti is also home to one of nature's greatest shows.

The Great Migration

Every year, over a million wildebeest travel across the Serengeti. They move in huge herds looking for fresh grass and water. Zebras and gazelles join them on the journey. This is called the Great Migration.

A Protected Place

Much of the Serengeti is a national park. This means the animals are kept safe from hunting. Park rangers work hard to protect them. Tourists come from all over the world to see the animals.
