Bullying Prevention
Bullying is when someone is mean to another person on purpose, over and over. It can be with words, actions, or even online. Everyone deserves to feel safe at school and at home.
Types of Bullying
Physical bullying means hitting, pushing, or taking someone's things. Verbal bullying means calling names or saying mean things. Cyberbullying happens online through messages or social media.
Bullying is never okay, no matter what form it takes. It can make people feel sad, scared, or lonely.
What You Can Do
If you see bullying, tell a trusted adult like a teacher or parent. You can also stand up for the person being bullied by being their friend. Do not join in or laugh.
If you are being bullied, it is not your fault. Talk to someone you trust. You deserve to be treated with respect.
Fun Facts
- Schools with anti-bullying programs see fewer kids being mean to each other.
- Being an upstander means standing up for someone who is being bullied.
