Emergency Phone Numbers
Emergency Phone Numbers
In an emergency, calling the right number can save a life. In the United States, you dial 911 for help. Knowing when and how to call is an important skill for every kid.
When to Call 911
Call 911 if someone is badly hurt, if there is a fire, or if someone is in danger. Tell the operator what happened and where you are. Stay on the phone until they say you can hang up.
Do not call 911 as a joke. Prank calls can keep help from reaching someone who really needs it.
Other Important Numbers
