Emotions are feelings everyone has. You might feel happy when you play with friends. You might feel sad if you lose a toy. Some days you feel excited, and other days you feel tired. All emotions are normal and it is okay to feel them.

Different Emotions

There are many kinds of emotions. Happy, sad, scared, and angry are some big ones. You can also feel surprised, worried, or proud. Your face often shows how you feel. Your body does too, like when you smile or cry.

Handling Your Feelings

It helps to name what you are feeling. Saying I feel angry can help you understand yourself. Talking to someone about your feelings is a great idea. Taking deep breaths can help when feelings are too big. Everyone feels all of these things, so you are never alone.
