Feet

Your feet carry you everywhere you go. Each foot has five toes that help you balance. Feet have many bones and muscles that work together. Without feet, walking and running would not be possible.

How Feet Are Built

Each foot has 26 bones and over 100 muscles, tendons, and ligaments. The bottom of your foot has an arch that acts like a spring. Your big toe helps you push off when you walk. Feet are covered in thick skin to handle lots of pressure.

Taking Care of Feet

Shoes protect your feet from rocks, hot ground, and cold weather. It is good to wash your feet and keep them dry. Feet can get tired after a long day. Stretching and resting helps them feel better.
