Flexibility

Flexibility means being able to move your body easily through a full range of motion. Stretching helps you stay flexible. Being flexible helps prevent injuries and makes everyday movements easier.

Why Flexibility Matters

Flexible muscles and joints let you reach, bend, and twist without pain. If your muscles are tight, you are more likely to pull or strain them during activity.

Flexibility also helps with posture. When your muscles are balanced and stretchy, you stand taller and move more smoothly.

How to Improve Flexibility

Stretch after your muscles are warm, like after a walk or exercise. Hold each stretch gently for 15 to 30 seconds. Do not bounce or force a stretch.

Yoga is a great way to build flexibility. Even a few minutes of stretching each day can make a big difference over time.
