Germs
Germs are so small that you cannot see them without a microscope. There are different kinds of germs, like bacteria and viruses. Some germs are helpful, but others can make you sick. Germs can spread from person to person very easily. Learning about germs helps you stay healthy.
How Germs Spread
Germs can travel through the air when someone coughs or sneezes. They can also be on doorknobs, toys, and other things you touch. If you touch your face with dirty hands, germs can get inside your body. Once inside, they may grow and make you feel sick. That is why washing hands is so important.
Fighting Germs
Your body has its own germ fighters called white blood cells. They work like tiny soldiers to attack bad germs. Doctors can give medicines to help when you are very sick. Vaccines also teach your body how to fight certain germs. Eating healthy food and sleeping well help your body stay strong.
Fun Facts
