Healthy Teeth Habits

Taking care of your teeth is important. Healthy teeth help you eat, talk, and smile. A few simple habits every day can keep your teeth strong and cavity-free.

Daily Teeth Care

Brush your teeth at least twice a day, in the morning and before bed. Use a soft-bristled toothbrush and fluoride toothpaste. Brush for at least two minutes.

Floss once a day to clean between your teeth where your toothbrush cannot reach. This removes food and plaque that cause cavities.

Other Healthy Habits

Eat foods that are good for your teeth, like fruits, vegetables, cheese, and nuts. Limit sugary snacks and drinks because sugar feeds the bacteria that cause cavities.

Visit the dentist twice a year for a cleaning and checkup. Replace your toothbrush every three to four months or when the bristles start to fray.
