Mental Health

Mental health is about your mind and feelings. When you have good mental health, you feel happy most of the time. You can handle problems and make friends. Just like your body, your mind also needs care. Taking care of your feelings is just as important as taking care of your body.

Feeling Good

There are lots of ways to feel good in your mind. Playing outside, laughing with friends, and getting enough sleep all help. Doing things you love, like drawing or sports, makes you happy. Talking to someone you trust when you feel sad is a great idea. Everyone has hard days, and that is okay.

Getting Help

Sometimes feelings can get too big to handle alone. If you feel very sad or worried for a long time, tell a grown-up. Parents, teachers, and counselors can help. There is no shame in asking for help with your feelings. Just like a doctor helps with a cold, others can help with your mind.

Fun Facts

  • Smiling can actually make you feel happier, even if you do not mean it.
  • Exercise helps your brain make happy chemicals called endorphins.
  • Spending time with pets can make people feel calm and loved.
