Physical Fitness Tests
Physical Fitness Tests
A physical fitness test checks how healthy and fit your body is. Many schools give fitness tests to students. These tests measure things like strength, speed, endurance, and flexibility.
Common Fitness Tests
The sit-and-reach test checks your flexibility. Push-ups and curl-ups test your muscle strength and endurance. The mile run or a shuttle run tests how well your heart and lungs work.
These tests are not about being the best. They help you see where you are strong and where you can improve.
Preparing for a Fitness Test
Stay active throughout the year, not just before the test. Eat well, sleep enough, and drink plenty of water. Practice the exercises ahead of time so you know what to expect.
Do your best, but do not compare yourself to others. The goal is to be a little better than you were before.
