Safety

Safety is all about staying out of danger. There are safety rules at home, at school, and outside. Wearing a helmet when you bike is one example. Crossing the street carefully is another. Simple rules can help stop accidents from happening.

Safety at Home

Home should be a safe place. Do not play with matches, knives, or cleaning supplies. Keep toys off the stairs so no one trips. Know where the exits are in case of a fire. Tell a grown-up if something breaks or seems dangerous.

Safety Outside

When you are outside, always look both ways before crossing the street. Wear a helmet when you bike, skate, or ride a scooter. Never talk to strangers without a parent nearby. Use sunscreen on sunny days to protect your skin. Stay with a friend or grown-up in busy places.
