The Arabian Nights

The Arabian Nights is a famous book of old stories. It is also called One Thousand and One Nights. The tales come from places like Persia, India, and Arabia. People have told these stories for more than 1,000 years. Many kids today still love to read them.

The Main Story

The book has a big story that holds all the smaller stories together. A clever woman named Scheherazade tells tales to a king every night. She stops each story at an exciting part so the king wants to hear more. She does this for 1,001 nights in a row. In the end, her stories save her life.

Many of the tales inside are very famous. The story of Aladdin tells about a boy who finds a magic lamp. Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves is about a secret cave full of treasure. Sinbad the Sailor goes on seven amazing sea adventures. Each story is filled with genies, magic, and brave heroes.
