The Holy Land
The Holy Land is an area in the Middle East that many people see as sacred. It includes parts of Israel, Palestine, and nearby lands. Jewish people, Christians, and Muslims all believe important events happened there long ago. The city of Jerusalem is in the middle of the Holy Land.
Why It Is Special
The Holy Land is where many famous stories in the Bible took place. It is also important in the Jewish Torah and the Muslim Quran. People have visited the Holy Land for thousands of years to pray. These visitors are called pilgrims. Many travel very far just to see the holy places.
Famous Places
Jerusalem has some of the most famous holy places in the world. The Western Wall is sacred to Jewish people. Christians visit the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Muslims pray at the Dome of the Rock and Al-Aqsa Mosque. These buildings sit close together in the old part of the city.
