Duct Tape

Duct tape is a wide, strong tape that sticks to almost anything. It is known for its silver or gray color. The tape is made of cloth covered with plastic and glue. People use it to fix broken things, seal boxes, and make crafts.

Made for War

Duct tape was invented during World War 2 in the 1940s. It was first made to keep water out of ammunition boxes. Soldiers found out it could fix many other things too. After the war, people began using it at home.
