Artemis

Artemis was the goddess of hunting and the moon. She was Apollo's twin sister. She loved running through the forests with her bow and arrows. Wild animals were sacred to her, especially deer.

A Skilled Hunter

Artemis was the best hunter among all the gods. She never missed a shot with her silver bow. She spent most of her time in the forests and mountains. A group of young women called her Hunters traveled with her.

Protector of Nature

Even though Artemis was a hunter, she also protected wild animals. She watched over young animals and kept the forests safe. She helped women and children who were in trouble. The moon was her symbol, shining over the nighttime woods.
