King Arthur
King Arthur is one of the most famous legends in the world. He became king of England by pulling a magical sword from a stone. He gathered brave knights around a Round Table. His story has been told for hundreds of years in books, movies, and plays.
The Sword in the Stone
The legend says a magical sword was stuck in a stone. Only the true king of England could pull it out. Many strong knights tried and failed. A young boy named Arthur pulled it out easily. He became the greatest king England had ever known.
The Knights of the Round Table
King Arthur built a castle called Camelot. He gathered the bravest knights in the land. They sat at a Round Table so that every knight was equal. The knights went on quests, fought dragons, and searched for the Holy Grail, a magical cup said to have great power.

- The wizard Merlin was Arthur's adviser and teacher.
- The Round Table could seat 150 knights, and no seat was more important than another.
