Odysseus

Odysseus was the cleverest hero in Greek mythology. After fighting in the Trojan War, it took him ten years to get home. His long journey is told in a famous poem called the Odyssey. He used his brain more than his muscles to solve problems.

The Long Journey Home

Odysseus faced many dangers on his voyage home. He outsmarted a giant Cyclops by telling it his name was 'Nobody.' He sailed past singing Sirens who tried to lure his ship onto rocks. He even visited the land of the dead to get directions home.

A Clever Hero

Odysseus was famous for his quick thinking. He came up with the idea for the Trojan Horse to win the war. He disguised himself as a beggar to sneak into his own palace. His cleverness saved his life many times on his journey.
