Robin Hood is one of the most popular legends from England. He was an outlaw who lived in Sherwood Forest. He was the best archer in all the land. Robin Hood stole from greedy rich people and gave the money to the poor.
Life in Sherwood Forest
Robin Hood and his band of Merry Men lived in Sherwood Forest. His best friend was Little John, who was actually a very tall man. Friar Tuck was a jolly monk who joined the group. Maid Marian was Robin's true love. They lived free in the forest and had many adventures.
Fighting Injustice
Robin Hood fought against the evil Sheriff of Nottingham. The sheriff taxed poor people until they had nothing left. Robin stole the tax money and returned it to the villagers. He was an outlaw, but the common people loved him as a hero.

- Little John got his nickname as a joke because he was actually very big.
