Thor (Norse God)
Thor (Norse God)
Thor was the strongest of all the Norse gods. He was the god of thunder, lightning, and storms. He carried a powerful hammer called Mjolnir. The Vikings loved Thor because he protected them from giants and monsters.
Thor's Mighty Hammer
Thor's hammer, Mjolnir, was the most powerful weapon in Norse mythology. It always returned to his hand after he threw it. Thor wore special iron gloves and a belt that doubled his strength. Vikings believed that thunder was the sound of Thor's hammer smashing giants.
Adventures and Battles
Thor often traveled to the land of the giants to fight them. He once went fishing and almost caught the giant world serpent. He disguised himself as a bride to get his stolen hammer back. Thor was brave, strong, and sometimes a little short-tempered.
