Ants
Ants
Ants are found almost everywhere on Earth. They are tiny insects that live in large groups called colonies. Some ant colonies have millions of ants! Ants are famous for being very strong and hardworking.
Super Strong
Ants can carry objects 50 times their own body weight. That would be like you carrying a car! They use their strong jaws to carry food back to their colony. Ants work together in teams to move large items that one ant could not carry alone.
Colony Life
Every ant colony has a queen whose job is to lay eggs. Worker ants find food, build tunnels, and take care of baby ants. Soldier ants protect the colony. Ants talk to each other by leaving scent trails and touching antennae.
Fun Facts
