Cobras
Cobras
Cobras are famous snakes that live in Africa and Asia. When a cobra feels scared, it lifts up the front of its body. It spreads its neck into a shape that looks like a hood. This makes the cobra look bigger and more scary.
The Hood
A cobra's hood is made when it spreads its ribs out. Only cobras can do this. Some cobras have marks on the back of their hoods that look like eyes. This helps scare away enemies.
Dangerous Bite
Cobras have a strong venom that they use to hunt. They bite animals like frogs, rats, and even other snakes. Some cobras can spit their venom from far away. They can aim right at the eyes of an enemy.
