Parrots are some of the most colorful birds in the world. They live in warm tropical areas. Parrots are very smart and can learn to mimic human speech. There are about 400 different species of parrots.

Parrots come in every color of the rainbow. They have strong, curved beaks that can crack open nuts and seeds. Parrots can use their feet like hands to hold food. Some parrots can learn over 100 words and even put them together in short sentences.

Parrot Families

Many parrots mate for life and stay with the same partner forever. They nest in holes in trees. Baby parrots are born without feathers. Parrots are social birds that live in flocks and chatter to each other all day long.
