Tigers
Tigers
Tigers are the biggest cats in the world. They live in forests and grasslands across Asia. Every tiger has a unique pattern of stripes, just like human fingerprints. Tigers are powerful hunters that can take down animals much larger than themselves.
Stealthy Hunters
Tigers hunt alone, usually at night. They sneak up on prey and pounce with a burst of speed. Tigers can jump over 15 feet in a single leap. Their orange and black stripes help them hide in tall grass and shadows. Despite their size, they are very quiet movers.
Endangered Beauties
There are only about 4,500 tigers left in the wild. They are endangered because of habitat loss and poaching. Conservation projects in India, Russia, and other countries are working to protect them. The good news is that tiger numbers have been slowly increasing.
Fun Facts
