Yaks

Yaks are big animals with long shaggy hair. They live high up in the mountains of Asia, especially in Tibet. Yaks have horns and hooves that help them walk on rocky ground. Their long fur keeps them warm in very cold weather.

Mountain Life

Yaks live higher up than almost any other large animal. They can live in places where the air is thin and hard to breathe. Their big lungs and hearts help them get enough air. Yaks eat grass and plants that grow on mountain slopes.
