Allyson Felix

Allyson Felix is an American sprinter. She was born in Los Angeles, California, in 1985. She is the most decorated American track and field athlete in Olympic history. She has won 11 Olympic medals, including 7 gold.

Early Life

Felix started running in high school and was an instant star. She was nicknamed 'Chicken Legs' because of her thin legs, but she was incredibly fast. She made the U.S. Olympic team at just 18 years old. She competed in her first Olympics in 2004.

Olympic Career

Felix won her first gold medal at the 2012 London Olympics. She competed in five Olympic Games from 2004 to 2020. She won 11 medals total, making her the most decorated U.S. track athlete ever. She also became a vocal advocate for mothers' rights in sports after having her daughter.
