Chloe Kim

Chloe Kim is an American professional snowboarder. She was born in Long Beach, California, in 2000. She won her first Olympic gold medal in snowboard halfpipe at age 17. She is considered one of the best halfpipe snowboarders in history.

Early Life

Kim's parents immigrated from South Korea. Her father drove her to the mountains every weekend to practice snowboarding. She started competing at a young age and won her first X Games gold medal at 14. She was too young to compete in the 2014 Olympics even though she was good enough to make the team.

Olympic Champion

At the 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea, Kim won gold in the halfpipe. She earned a near-perfect score of 98.25. She won gold again at the 2022 Beijing Olympics. She also won multiple X Games gold medals and has been a role model for young athletes.
