Greta Thunberg

Greta Thunberg is a Swedish environmental activist. She was born in Stockholm, Sweden, in 2003. At age 15, she started a school strike for climate action. She inspired millions of young people around the world to demand action on climate change.

Early Life

Thunberg first learned about climate change when she was eight years old. She became very worried about the future of the planet. She has Asperger syndrome, which she calls her superpower. She convinced her own family to change their habits to help the environment.

Big Achievements

In August 2018, Thunberg sat outside the Swedish parliament with a sign that said School Strike for Climate. Her protest spread around the world. Millions of students joined her Fridays for Future movement. She has spoken at the United Nations and other world events.
