Lin-Manuel Miranda

Lin-Manuel Miranda is an American composer, lyricist, and actor. He was born in New York City in 1980. He created the Broadway musicals In the Heights and Hamilton. Hamilton became one of the most successful musicals in history.

Early Life

Miranda grew up in the Washington Heights neighborhood of New York City. His parents came from Puerto Rico. He loved music and theater from a young age. He started writing musicals while still in college.
