Malala Yousafzai

Malala Yousafzai is a Pakistani activist for girls' education. She was born in Mingora, Pakistan, in 1997. She was shot by the Taliban for speaking up about girls' right to go to school. She survived and became the youngest person ever to win the Nobel Peace Prize.

Early Life

Malala's father ran a school and believed girls should be educated. When the Taliban took over her region, they banned girls from going to school. Malala wrote a blog about her life under Taliban rule. She spoke out bravely for education.
