Mark Zuckerberg is an American technology entrepreneur. He was born in White Plains, New York, in 1984. He co-founded Facebook while he was a student at Harvard University. Facebook grew into one of the largest companies in the world.
Early Life
Zuckerberg started programming computers in middle school. His father hired a software developer to tutor him. He built a messaging program for his father's dental office. He was accepted into Harvard University, where he would create Facebook.
Building Facebook
Zuckerberg launched Facebook from his college dorm room in 2004. At first, only Harvard students could use it. It quickly spread to other schools and then the whole world. Today, billions of people use Facebook and its other apps like Instagram and WhatsApp.
