Michelle grew up on the South Side of Chicago. She worked hard in school and graduated from Princeton University. She then earned a law degree from Harvard Law School. She met Barack Obama while working at a law firm in Chicago.

As First Lady, Michelle started the Let's Move! campaign to fight childhood obesity. She planted a vegetable garden at the White House. Her memoir, Becoming, sold over 17 million copies. She continues to inspire young people to pursue education and follow their dreams.
