Satya Nadella

Satya Nadella is an Indian American business executive. He was born in Hyderabad, India, in 1967. He became the CEO of Microsoft in 2014. He transformed Microsoft into one of the most valuable companies in the world.

Early Life

Nadella grew up in Hyderabad, India, where he loved playing cricket. He studied electrical engineering in India and then came to the United States for graduate school. He earned a master's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He joined Microsoft in 1992.

Leading Microsoft

Nadella became CEO of Microsoft in 2014. He shifted the company's focus to cloud computing and artificial intelligence. Under his leadership, Microsoft's value grew enormously. He is known for his thoughtful leadership style and his book Hit Refresh.
