Stevie Wonder is an American singer, songwriter, and musician. He was born in Saginaw, Michigan, in 1950. He has been blind since shortly after birth. He is one of the most successful musicians in history with 25 Grammy Awards.
Early Life
Wonder was born Stevland Hardaway Judkins. He was blind from birth but showed musical talent very early. He could play piano, drums, and harmonica by age nine. He signed a record deal at age 11 with Motown Records.
Big Achievements
Wonder had his first hit at age 13 with Fingertips. He went on to create classic albums and songs like Superstition, Isn't She Lovely, and I Just Called to Say I Love You. He has won 25 Grammy Awards. He also fought for a national holiday to honor Martin Luther King Jr.
