Sundar Pichai is an Indian American business executive. He was born in Madurai, India, in 1972. He is the CEO of Google and its parent company Alphabet. He helped create the Google Chrome web browser and the Android operating system.
Early Life
Pichai grew up in a modest home in Chennai, India. His family did not have a television until he was 12. He was an excellent student and earned a degree from the Indian Institute of Technology. He later studied at Stanford and the Wharton School in the United States.
Leading Google
Pichai joined Google in 2004 and worked on many important projects. He led the development of the Chrome browser, which became the most popular browser in the world. He became CEO of Google in 2015. Under his leadership, Google has continued to grow and innovate.
