Tim Cook
Tim Cook is an American business executive. He was born in Mobile, Alabama, in 1960. He became the CEO of Apple in 2011 after Steve Jobs. Under his leadership, Apple became the first company to be worth over one trillion dollars.
Early Life
Cook grew up in Robertsdale, Alabama. He studied industrial engineering at Auburn University. He later earned an MBA from Duke University. Before Apple, he worked at IBM and other technology companies.
Leading Apple
Cook joined Apple in 1998 and helped fix the company's supply chain. He became CEO when Steve Jobs stepped down in 2011. Under Cook, Apple launched the Apple Watch, AirPods, and many new iPhones. He became the first CEO of a major company to publicly come out as gay.
