Antonio Vivaldi was an Italian composer and violinist. He was born in Venice, Italy, in 1678. He wrote The Four Seasons, one of the most famous pieces of music ever. He composed over 500 concertos during his life.
Early Life
Vivaldi was born in Venice and was taught violin by his father. He became a priest and was known as the Red Priest because of his red hair. He worked at an orphanage where he taught music to girls. He wrote many of his greatest works for them.
Big Achievements
Vivaldi wrote The Four Seasons around 1720. Each of the four concertos represents a season of the year. He composed over 500 concertos and 46 operas. His music was popular across Europe during his lifetime.
